Energietag « International pathways to Net-Zero »
The World Energy Council – Germany cordially invites you to its ENERGY DAY 2023. The conference traditionally takes place in the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW) in Berlin and this year marks its 100th anniversary.
The Paris Climate Agreement obliges countries around the world to curb climate change and make the global economy climate-friendly. In order to achieve the ambitious climate goals, however, considerably greater efforts are required. More and more contractual partners have set themselves the goal of becoming climate-neutral. However, the question of how net zero is to be achieved is answered very differently in the different countries. The massive expansion of renewable energies, the extension of the lifespan of existing nuclear power plants and the construction of new modular nuclear reactors, the use of hydrogen and its derivatives, LNG imports, carbon management and geoengineering are just a few of the approaches that representatives from politics, business, society and Discuss science controversially around the world.
The Energy Day as the industry meeting for international energy issues in Berlin brings together decision-makers from all over the world to shed light on international paths to Net-Zero and to bring a global perspective into the national debate. Together with you and our international audience, we would like to discuss to what extent the respective proposals not only represent answers to the immediate challenges of the present, but also form sustainable energy solutions for a climate-neutral future.
