It emphasises that continuing the energy transition is not only feasible\, but also essential. By presenting these insights\, the report aims to inform the strategic discussion on the future of industry in Northwest Europe.

DESCRIPTION:[ Ambassadrices de l’énergie – Dialogue ]  Pour le prochain rendez-vous « Ambassadrices de l’énergie »\, espace de dialogue informel avec une dirigeante du secteur de l’énergie\, notre secrétaire générale Marie-Line Vaiani et le groupe des jeunes professionnels (YEP France) échangeront mercredi 20 mai à partir de 18h45 avec Anne-Isabelle Etienvre\, Administratrice générale du CEA. \nAnne-Isabelle Etienvre témoignera de son parcours (*)\, de son goût pour le secteur de l’énergie mais aussi de sa vision de la transition énergétique et des moyens de l’accélérer dans une approche équilibrée au sens du Trilemme de l’énergie du Conseil Mondial de l’Énergie (sécurité énergétique\, équité énergétique\, soutenabilité environnementale). \n(*) Née en 1976\, Anne-Isabelle Etienvre est diplômée de l’École normale supérieure de Paris-Saclay\, agrégée de Sciences Physiques. Elle est également titulaire d’un doctorat en physique des particules\, ainsi que d’une Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR). Elle a mené des recherches en physique des particules et participé à la construction de grands projets instrumentaux pour le CERN.\nAprès avoir siégé à plusieurs conseils et comités scientifiques\, elle a été nommée en 2012 coordinatrice du Laboratoire d’excellence (LabEx) P2IO (Physique des 2 Infinis et des Origines)\, spécialisé dans la physique de l’infiniment petit\, et de l’infiniment grand. Anne-Isabelle Etienvre a rejoint le CEA en 2003\, au Département de physique des particules\, dont elle a pris la direction en 2014.\nEn 2016\, elle a été nommée directrice de l’Institut de recherche sur les lois fondamentales de l’univers (Irfu)\, poste qu’elle a occupé pendant six ans. Cet institut de 1100 collaborateurs mène à bien de la R&D dans le domaine de la physique subatomique\, du spatial\, du numérique et de l’instrumentation associée à ces domaines (détecteurs de particules\, accélérateurs\, microélectronique\, aimants supraconducteurs\, spatial).\nDe 2022 à 2023\, elle a été conseillère en charge de la recherche auprès de la Ministre de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche.\nDe 2023 à 2025\, elle a été directrice de la recherche fondamentale (DRF) au CEA. La DRF regroupe 10 instituts de R&D\, pour les domaines et programmes clés du CEA\, et rassemble plus de 4000\ncollaborateurs. Elle assure le pilotage de grands projets\, dans le cadre d’accords bilatéraux ou d’infrastructures de recherche\, est impliquée dans plus de 30 programmes de France 2030. This shift is already reshaping how energy systems are planned\, operated and financed. \nBringing together global experts\, the session will offer practical insights into how AI-driven demand is evolving from global electricity trends to the realities faced by data centre operators and energy system providers. It will also examine how infrastructure\, grids and supply are adapting to this growth\, and what challenges are emerging in keeping pace with both the scale and speed of change.

In an international context marked by growing strategic competition and renewed tensions in key energy regions\, the stability and security of global energy routes have become a central concern for governments\, industries and international institutions alike. \nRecent developments in the Gulf region\, alongside broader geopolitical frictions affecting global supply chains and maritime corridors\, highlight the vulnerability of critical energy infrastructures and transport routes. Ensuring the reliability of these systems therefore requires not only resilient infrastructure\, but also stronger international cooperation and dialogue across regions.\nWithin this evolving landscape\, the Euro-Mediterranean and transatlantic regions are emerging as key axes of global energy connectivity.
