SUMMARY:WEC Finland Energy Day: Energy Transition in Turbulent Times – Political Willingness and Technological Solutions
DESCRIPTION:WEC Finland Energy Day will take place in Helsinki on Thursday\, 2 October 2025 (Restaurant & Event Arena Bank).\nThe programme examines the energy transition in turbulent times 🌍: the role of the EU Energy Union for competitiveness\, decarbonisation and security\, enabling investments\, the shifting focus of innovation\, the impact of data centres\, and solutions for the electricity market ⚡. The event is also one of the year’s most significant networking opportunities for leaders and experts across the sector. \nWe are pleased to welcome distinguished contributors 🎤 including keynotes by Vesa Terävä (European Commission)\, Mika Anttonen (St1) and Mervi Airaksinen (Microsoft Europe North); Riku Huttunen (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland) on national policy; Professor Sanna Syri (Aalto University) with an academic perspective; and Jukka Savolainen (Hybrid CoE) on resilience and hybrid threats. Industry insights will be provided by Olli Sirkka (Helen).
