SUMMARY:Réunion des YEP
DESCRIPTION:Réunion mensuelle des Young Energy Professionals. \nLe programme Future Energy Leaders du Conseil Mondial de l’Énergie rassemble une centaine de jeunes appelés à être demain des acteurs clés du secteur de l’énergie. Ce réseau international de jeunes ne cesse de grandir et\, à l’image d’une vingtaine d’autres pays\, le Conseil Français de l’Énergie\, comité français du Conseil Mondial de l’Énergie\, a créé les YEP – Young Energy Professionals\, amenés à interagir avec les jeunes d’autres pays.\nCe collectif offre aux jeunes professionnels de l’énergie ou aux étudiants avertis en fin de formation une plateforme pour débattre des questions énergétiques pertinentes\, rencontrer les acteurs d’aujourd’hui et développer des projets propres. Ce sont aussi des occasions de réseautage et la possibilité de participer aux activités du Conseil Français de l’Énergie (groupes de travail\, interventions lors d’évènements…). Les YEP\, c’est un lieu d’échanges et de débats qui\, à l’image du Conseil Français de l’Énergie\, se situe au carrefour de toutes les énergies et toutes les technologies\, des acteurs et des métiers.

SUMMARY:Rethinking the future of the world through a secured\, clean and efficient energy
DESCRIPTION:WEC Central and Eastern Europe Regional Energy Forum – FOREN 2024\, organized under the patronage of the World Energy Council (WEC) and the Ministry of Energy of Romania\, is at its 17th edition and it is already considered an event with a solid tradition and an outstanding reputation in the 100-year history of energy. For the energy community in Romania\, the Forum is the most important and representative event in the field\, organized in even years. Also\, FOREN has the status of a WEC regional event for Central and Eastern Europe. \nThe Forum’s programme will include over 20 events with up-to-date issues at national and international level: 4 sessions of technical papers\, 9 main events (Regional Energy Day\, Round Tables at Forum level; workshops at Forum level); Round Tables at corporate level; an international exhibition with more than 20 booths. \nThe main topics within FOREN 2024 are the following: \n\nA just Energy Transition in CEE Countries\nAdapting the energy sectors of countries in the region to the new challenges\nEnergy strategies to decarbonise the energy system\nSpecific issues on the use of fossil fuels and biofuels in the energy transition\nEnergy efficiency\, smart consumption and prosumer integration: innovations for future\nWEC – Centenary Celebration\nHigher education in energy transition\nNew technologies in energy transition\nThe impact of artificial intelligence energy management in the coming decade\nThe role of nuclear energy in the CEE area\n\nThe forum is supported by energy\, oil\, natural gas and coal companies\, suppliers of energy equipment and services\, as well as representative governmental and non-governmental institutions in Romania and abroad. \nAmong the participants of the event\, there are government authorities\, managers and decision-makers of the most important companies and organizations\, well-known and appreciated specialists in the energy field in Romania and abroad.

SUMMARY:1st French-German Industry Dialogue
DESCRIPTION:The “Franco-German engine” has been a driver of European integration for many decades. The success of many joint initiatives was based\, among other things\, on the fact that they managed to find a compromise in many areas that other member states of the European Union (EU) could also agree to – despite some very different positions. In recent years\, however\, the engine has stalled. In the public debate\, the differences between the two countries are all too often emphasised\, not least on energy issues. At the same time\, against the backdrop of globalised energy markets\, fragmented supply chains and the increase in local conflicts in close proximity to the EU\, transnational exchange and international cooperation are as important as ever. \nThe World Energy Council offers a neutral platform for global networking and the exchange of knowledge on international energy issues. It is\, therefore\, particularly well-suited to initiate a dialogue between high-ranking energy experts from both countries\, to promote mutual understanding\, share different experiences and to encourage cross-border cooperation. Together\, the French and the German Members Committees of the WEC are organizing the 1st French-German Industry Dialogue on June 24 in Paris. \nAs part of an exclusive dialogue format at company level\, we would discuss pressing energy issues in both countries as well as prospects for Franco-German cooperation in the energy sector. The focus will be on a high-level industry exchange under Chatham House Rule. \n
