SUMMARY:9e édition des Assises Nationales des énergies marines renouvelables
DESCRIPTION:Selon la Commission européenne\, la filière de l’éolien en mer devrait atteindre une capacité de 300 gigawatts (GW) d’ici à 2050\, dont 57 GW au large des côtes françaises. La filière s’accorde pour porter un objectif réaliste de 50 GW à cet horizon. La signature en Mars 2022 du pacte pour l’éolien en mer trace la feuille de route pour atteindre ses objectifs et les engagements industriels\, de contenu local et de création d’emplois. \nLa filière poursuit sa structuration en misant sur un fort ancrage industriel local\, une innovation constante et une compétitivité renforcée. Les premiers projets sortent de mer\, les sites de production industriels nationaux sont opérationnels\, les acteursprofessionnels et régionaux prêts à relever le défi d’un objectif de 20 GW attribués en 2030 pour atteindre une capacité de 18 GW en service en 2035 et de 40 GW en 2050. Les Energies Marines Renouvelables ont-elles aussi un rôle crucial à jouer dans l’atteinte des objectifs climatiques et la transition énergétique mondiale. L’IRENA estime à 70 GW en 2030 et 350 GW en 2050 la capacité installée mondiale. Pour l’Europe\, 1 GW devraient être installés en 2030 et 40 GW en 2050.Cependant\, plusieurs freins et interrogations demeurent pour permettre une accélération du déploiement de ces projets et l’atteinte des objectifs français et européens.Organisée en amont du forum international Seanergy\, cette 9ème édition des Assises se déroulera le lundi 19 Juin à la Maison de l’Océan\, à Paris. \nÀ l’image des précédentes éditions\, plus de 250 participants sont attendus pour cet événement qui rassemblera les acteurs de la filière\, les pouvoirs publics\, les représentants politiques\, les élus\, les associations environnementales et la presse.

SUMMARY:6th European Climate Change Adaptation Conference
DESCRIPTION:Actionable Knowledge for a Climate Resilient Europe\nEurope’s influential climate adaptation conference\, ECCA 2023\, takes place from 19 to 21 June 2023\, and will be held in Dublin\, Ireland.\nThe Joint Programme Initiative « Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe » (JPI Climate)\, together with the MAGICA project\, supported by the European Commission\, is organizing this edition of ECCA. It will be an in-person event over two days for up to 500 people with live streaming of all plenary sessions and interactive hybrid formats. \n\n\nThe audience will be adaptation experts – researchers’ and practitioners\, policy-makers\, local authorities\, the private sector with a focus on businesses already engaged and taking action on climate risk\, investors\, NGOs\, citizens organisations\, youth and education organisations\, community groups engaged in adaptation\, communicators and all interested individuals. They will be able to hear from Europe’s leading climate researchers who are using trusted data to develop cutting-edge climate action tools\, decision-support platforms and prototype climate services for adapting to the climate challenges they are tasked with addressing. There will be an opportunity to share actual examples of the challenges and potential solutions.\nSince the last ECCA conference in May and June 2021\, Europe experienced the warmest summer on record\, accompanied by severe floods in western Europe and dry conditions in the Mediterranean. In 2022\, even more records were broken in Europe\, with a record high temperature in Ireland in July 2022\, for example. \nBesides necessary mitigation measures\, adaptation actions contribute to recovery\, resilience\, climate change mitigation\, biodiversity conservation and restoration\, citizen safety\, wellbeing\, and financial security. The goal of the conference\, among the goals of the previous ECCA editions\, is to inspire adaptation by showcasing solutions\, exchanging knowledge\, creating connections\, and encouraging dialogue on how to act more and faster at every level. \n\n\n\n\nCall for Proposals for Activities\nDeadline 23:59 (CET)\, Monday\, February 27\, 2023.  \nApply to share your climate adaptation solutions and challenges\, content proposals\, posters and creative arts at ECCA2023.
